Welcome To My Photography Blog!

My name is Sharon Mallin and I am a natural light portrait and on-location photographer based in the Blue Mountains, NSW. I specialise in children and family portraiture and birth photography. I live at Faulconbridge (in the gorgeous Blue Mountains). I am happily married and have two beautiful children ~ a very active handsome little boy and a precious little girl.

One of my favourite photography quotes is by Sandra Edwards, and is one that I draw great inspiration from:“A photograph is not only a reflection of people. It is a reflection of compassion, love and memories of good times”.

The Astle Family {Blue Mountains Photographer}

A couple of weeks ago on a beautiful autumn afternoon I photographed on of my closest and dearest friends, and her beautiful family.

Since I am only booking limited sessions this year, I thought I would blog a larger than normal sneak peek. This session was filled with lots of love, laughter and cuteness. I adored every minute of it!

This afternoon we took the kids to a Colin Buchanan Concert at Cranebrook (near Penrith). Benny LOVES Colin and Jessie quite enjoys his music and DVD’s too. I took a few photo’s, just so we could remember the occasion. Benny specifically asked me to ‘blog them please Mummy on your photo blog thingy’ ~ so Benny my darling, these are for you.

The Gunther Family {Blue Mountains Photographer}

What a wild and woolly day it was up here today! We had sunshine; we had rain; we had wind; and we even had hail at one stage!

However when it was time for my session with this gorgeous family this afternoon, the wind seemed to calm down a little and we were able to spend some time together capturing some special memories. And I must say, this family are gorgeous both inside and out … take a look – I think you will agree. Genuine love, genuine connection – happy sigh!

Benjamin & Jessica {Blue Mountains Photographer}

I’ve been a little slack of late and only been taking some quick iPhone snaps of the kids. So since it is such a beautiful day – I thought we’d go for a little walk (yes with our little people chair and mat) and see what we could capture.

There are a few more of Benny than Jessie – as she was more interested trying to find birds in the bushes :)
