Welcome To My Photography Blog!

profile

My name is Sharon Mallin and I am a natural light portrait and on-location photographer based in the Blue Mountains, NSW. I specialise in children and family portraiture and birth photography. I live at Faulconbridge (in the gorgeous Blue Mountains). I am happily married and have two beautiful children ~ a very active handsome little boy and a precious little girl.

One of my favourite photography quotes is by Sandra Edwards, and is one that I draw great inspiration from:“A photograph is not only a reflection of people. It is a reflection of compassion, love and memories of good times”.

I hope you enjoy my photography blog! Feel free to leave me a comment so that I know you stopped by.

The Astle Family {Blue Mountains Photographer}

May 9, 2012

A couple of weeks ago on a beautiful autumn afternoon I photographed on of my closest and dearest friends, and her beautiful family.

Since I am only booking limited sessions this year, I thought I would blog a larger than normal sneak peek. This session was filled with lots of love, laughter and cuteness. I adored every minute of it!

Steph ~ thank you for allowing me to share this beautiful afternoon with you and your family. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. I am truly blessed to be walking this journey of life with you by my side.

The Polchleb Family {Blue Mountains Photographer}

August 15, 2011

Meet my last ‘family mini session‘ family – the Polchleb’s. I have known this family for a number of years, so I was excited when Patsy contacted me to book in a session.

This session was so much fun! Patsy and Steve said they wanted candid images of their family just being themselves. During our time together we laughed; we tickled; we chased one another; we climbed trees; we played hide and seek, and we picked dandelions – it really was a lot of fun.

Their children – Josh (or as I like to now call him, ‘Mr Cheese’), Aimee and Ethan are so very beautiful and I felt grateful to share in their afternoon.

Steve & Patsy – it was lovely to see you again and meet the newest addition to your gorgeous family. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I will be in touch when your gallery is ready.

The Thompson Family {Blue Mountains Photographer}

August 6, 2011

After having to re-schedule twice due to the rain, it was third time lucky for my family mini session with the Thompson family this afternoon.

Bryan and Emma have two beautiful children. Their eldest son Matty has some special needs, however this does not define who he is – he has such a beautiful soul. He loves: to watch the world around him, his puzzles, playing with bubbles and eating yummy lollies (who doesn’t!). Alicia is a beautiful little girl, whose smile lights up the world. We had lots of fun playing tickles and giggles, and I found out her favourite flavour ice cream is chocolate!

This family is devoted to one another. There is unconditional love, acceptance and understanding. I felt privileged to be there in their midst to capture how they relate to one another. It was truly a joy.

Bryan & Emma – thank you for sharing your afternoon with me. I am so glad the rain held off! Enjoy your sneak peek, I will be in touch when your gallery is ready.

An All Encompassing Love {Blue Mountains Photographer}

July 3, 2011

I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this little girl is loved and adored beyond measure. Equally – the love and trust this precious little one has for her Mummy and Daddy is a pure joy to see and experience.

This family’s love for one another, this all encompassing love, is born from and nurtured through the amazing marriage of this man and woman.

Meet my little brother, his beautiful wife and my precious niece.
